Future Wildcat Parent Presentation:
Welcome Class of 2029

Schedule Pick-up/Open House:

If you would like to pick up a physical copy of your schedule and pay fees in person.  You may do so in the Gym Lobby on Monday, August 12th, from 8-11 am and 6-8 pm.

Students and families are invited to meet the teachers and walk the schedules on Monday, August 12th, from 6-8 pm.  We will have an activities fair set up in the Commons.  A new student (non-freshmen) orientation will begin at 6:00pm in the Library.

School Begins!

We will finally begin the 2024-25 school year on Wednesday, August 14th by welcoming our Freshmen to South.

Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will begin school on Thursday, August 15th. Remember, class starts at 7:25, so you should arrive with plenty of time to get where you need to be on time.

Here is the Academic Calendar for the school year.

Back-to-School Forms:

All of the back-to-school forms are available in Powerschool and fees are viewable in EZ Pay (except for AP and IB).

Free/Reduced Price Meal Application:

Click here for information and application forms for free/reduced price meals.

Schedule Adjustments:

Schedules will be available for viewing through Powerschool on August 5th.  Schedule adjustments are not permitted unless a student is changing a course because they already have credit for it, or one of the following reasons:

* Duplicate course on schedule
* Increase the rigor of a class
* Replace a Study Hall
* Not enough classes (need 5 full credits)-PE can’t count as one of them
* Need a course for graduation.
* College Credit Plus (coordination of timing)

**No lunch, teacher changes, or period preferences allowed**

If your student would like to make any course adjustment request(s) AND it meets one of the above criteria, please complete The Schedule Adjustment Form in the parent portal beginning on August 5th.

Please note, if your student does not see a course that was initially requested, then there was a scheduling conflict between courses or the course is currently full. Additionally, counselors will be continually balancing classes through the start of school which may change the order of classes that initially appear on your student’s schedule on August 5th.

All students should view their schedules on Powerschool on August 5th.  If you do not have electronic access, your student can pick up a paper copy of their schedule on August 12, from 8-11 am and 6-8 pm.
